Highland Miniatures - Sons of Marduk
The Sons of Marduk draw inspiration from the Assyrian and Babylonian cultures of antiquity. Marduk, in Mesopotamian religion, is the chief god of the city of Babylon and the national god of Babylonia; as such, he was eventually called simply Bel, or Lord.
The influence of the Neo-Assyrian and other Mesopotamian images and representations of their deities and warriors -like those you can find currently in the British Museum in London- will play a huge role in the design of these miniatures.
